To Create
images without the white around them, from the PCCrafter
images files, using Adobe Photoshop Elements.
I open Adobe Photoshop
Elements first – and then the PC Hug Bug Deluxe Browser
I left mouse click on image
and hold down the shift key
and begin to drag image down to my task bar
to the Adobe Photshop Elements program
sometimes I will see the circle with the bar across it
"BUT" I continue to hold down shift key and mouse key
Photoshop Elements program
opens and I drag image into screen,
I release the shift key and mouse and image appears
with checks around it (it is now transparent, or missing the white around it)
It is a .png
image at this point, I will go to file and save as
and save (and I rename the image)this image as a ".gif" image
And it will be available as a
transparent image
in any other program or as an image layer.
Another way I save it is for
the web
then I can resize it, for use on a web page
**Remember if using on a web page or if you are
attaching image to an email message
the original image from PCCrafter is large
and should be resized for such actions.

In this screen it shows the
original size,
and I can change the dimensions to be what I want them to be,
the program also shows me how long the image will take to load if
someone was using a 28baud modem, when viewing the webpage.
The next screen shows the
image resized.

I save the image as bookwteacupsml.gif in a folder with all files that I need
for this page that I am creating for this mini tutorial.
Here is that image:

applications
to get the white out or to make images transparent

programs, see:

Please NOTE – I am only able to get the white out, of hug club creatables, etc. using the new browser and the
Drag and drop method
If I just open an image file from my graphics files of hugclub images, in Adobe Photoshop Elements – it has the white around it.

But if I use the deluxe browser to drag and drop, holding down the shift key as I go
Than the image becomes transparent

I save the image at this point as a “gif” image, and I save it to a separate file
For craft projects etc. I rename it, and I may also resize it, give it another name and save again in
my craft Or website folders – wherever I want to have the image available.
Now that it is “transparent” I can open other graphics programs, such as Microsoft Picture It,
Hallmark cards and projects, and layer my transparent images that I have created from
Creatables and using the new browser and the drag and drop method.
Here is the image as resized and saved for the web
