Saving templates
and/or any images from the internet
For this example, I will
be saving a free template from the free template collection available from
http://www.jersgirl.com,
and using the browser
Internet
Explorer.
Please
note that I create these mini-tuts as an aide or help
for
my fellow PCCrafter Hugster's & that I am only a HugClub member.
I
am not employed or affiliated with PCCrafter.com.
Any
PCCrafter information, screen saves, graphics,
Melt
My Heart.com / Jersgirl.com template images, and/or excerpts quoted from
the particular websites mentioned or PCCrafter forums,
is
for Informational Purposes Only.
How I Do It -
mini-pictorial
I will save the image
to a folder that I have created in my PC Hugware Deluxe Browser, that I
have named "4Templates" -
this will make any/all
templates I save, available for me
to drag and drop into
any graphics program or software of my choice.

Find several website
sources for Templates online
and a few links to tutorials
or information on working with them
http://teas2dine4.com/4templatelinks.html
**Note - there are other
ways to accomplish the process of accessing
other clipart or folders
that may contain templates, etc. using the
built-in features of
the deluxe browser - see below
The path that I follow
to get to this particular folder, is on my computer
C:/PC Hugware/Collections/Images/Painted/4templates
The following are screens
I saved of doing this process on my own computer.
Go to the website
http://www.jersgirl.com
and click on Free Templates
Choose a template you
want from listing
The next screen shows
the image of template
put your cursor over
the image and right click
to bring up menu
Now you need to choose
a place where
you will save the image
as on your computer.
You can save it anywhere
on your harddrive or to a disk, etc.
Just remember where you
store your images so it will be available
and easy to find, when
you need it.
*I tend to make separate
folders on my C drive for various things, that
I want to save, so
that I can find later on.
The next screens will
show how I saved this particular image
to my C drive and the
4templates folder in my PC Hugware files
1. I go to my C
drive, then the PC HugWare
folder
2. and then open
the Collections folder
3. Then open the
Images
folder
4. Then open Painted
folder
5. Then I
choose the folder I created "4Templates"
The orange
arrow shows where you would click
on to create any new
folders,
I have created separate
folders such as:
4mycreations, and
for other artists work, such as
Kathleens Kollections
(4KathKollect) that I have purchased
and downloaded.
The 4Templates folder
is where I have chosen to save this template
candyboxcard2_jersgirl.jpg
The next image shows the
template as it appears after saving,
and when I open the Deluxe
Browser
Now the image is available
for me to drag and drop
and / or copy and paste
into any software program
that I choose to work
with this template.
Here is the template
reduced for this page
and converted to a transparent gif file
using Adobe Photoshop
Elements
**To make the template
transparent, I placed cursor on the
image in deluxe browser,
clicked on it, then held down
the shift key and with
the mouse held down,
I dragged the image into
an empty work space
of my software program
Adobe Photoshop Elements
and then saved the image,
as Save for the web,
and resized it
and saved as a gif file
*gif files can be saved
as transparent
